Requirements

The program consists of a minimum of 10 major courses and 2 collateral courses:

ECON 101Principles of Economics

ECON 251Intermediate Microeconomics

ECON 252Intermediate Macroeconomics

ECON 253Fundamentals of Econometrics

ECON Six Economics electives

 

MATH 141Differential Calculus and Economic Modeling

And

MATH 186Applied Statistics

Or

MATH 161Calculus I

And

Mathematics Department multivariate calculus module

And

MATH 186Applied Statistics

Six Economics electives: A minimum of six department electives at least four of which must be at the 300 level or higher.

Internships do not count toward the major.

Beginning with the class of 2018, all majors must complete a capstone requirement. This requirement can be met through a capstone seminar or through individualized instruction.
